Description
Vietnamese historical data are scattered across disparate sources, making them difficult to utilize for the task of dating Sino-Nom texts. This paper presents a pipeline for constructing three groups of historical data: persons, events, and historical place names - administrative divisions. The data are collected from digital sources and historical books, then cleaned, normalized, deduplicated, and processed to extract entities and temporal information before being organized under a unified schema. The represented dates include Common Era years, Before Common Era years, year ranges, and historical periods. Original temporal expressions and source references are preserved to ensure traceability throughout the data construction process and to retain the connection between each structured record and its source from which the data were originally collected and compiled. The resulting resource provides structured and temporally linked historical data that can subsequently be used as input for developing models to determine the dates of Sino-Nom texts.
